A broken branch fell into a sulfuric acid lake in Kawah Putih, Indonesia. Life ends, but its beauty lives. Kawah Putih is a large volcanic acid lake which changes colour from bluish to whitish green, or brown, depending on the concentration of sulfur and the temperature. This photo captures the mix of these colours as it flows through the branch.
Bio I was a banker for 30 years until 2018. Now, by profession I am a techpreneur. I started learning photography from friends and YouTube since 2018, and have enjoyed it as a way to express and share my sense of beauty. Photography has enhanced my joy of traveling and helped me become more present. My mind used to be busy with many things at once, always anticipating the future instead of appreciating the present. Now I am able to enjoy being present. To enjoy nature’s generosity in sharing its beauty and wisdom. To slow down, relax and enjoy life moment by moment, one picture at a time.
