    ‘Pump’ is a wall sculpture using CNC carving on wood that explores the idea of how structure and space can make us feel anxious or happy, bored or stimulated, engaged or indifferent; it uses the medium of sculpture to suggest a different way of seeing. In this work, layered rings are concentric circles in various positions. The structure enables the patterns to interact with each other, creating a visually animated effect that draws the eyes towards the centre, whilst creating an ambiguous overall image with a sense of vitality.
