    Drinking Alone with the Moon

    The project aims to create a new perspective in Chinese contemporary typography design. Inspired by the poem “Drinking Alone with the Moon” by Chinese Poet Li Bai and the visual imagery of moonlight and shadow, this typeface design poetically expresses the Chinese ideological aesthetics of “being” and “nothing”, this experimental typography design references the waxing and waning of the moon. The use of geometric shapes within the design gives the characters the charm of modern simplicity as well as a visually-engaging contrast.
