    Housing shortage is a universal problem around the world. One potential model is the secondary/accessory dwelling unit or ADU. They are an essential component of informal housing, not only adding density but contributing to a more socioeconomically diverse neighborhood. Employing an "envelope to space" strategy, the project effectively utilizes the limited buildable land and maximizes the spatial experience. The folded envelope embodied the interior space and constructed a cohesive dialogue between the units. Passive ventilation and local sustainable materials were incorporated.
