A few years ago, my mother was diagnosed with dementia. We had all seen the signs, questioned some of the things she was doing, choices she was making, but it wasn't until the official diagnosis came through, that it truly became real. My father has taken on the role of caregiver with both passion and dedication. It is because of him, she is able to still live within their home. This series began with a single rose, a way to visually tell the story of the relationship between my mother and father. It evolved into a series exploring the stories of others, who have been touched by dementia.
