Nomad At Dusk Oil on Canvas 60" x 84" inches Jerry Ragg is a life-long artist. Growing up in Minnesota and visiting art galleries with his mom when he was young, he was inspired by wildlife art. Being a self-taught artist, he’s spent his life studying, photographing nature and in the field gathering research. “Nature is naturally inspiring. It is medicine for the soul. As a wildlife artist, my goal is to touch a part of the soul that only nature can achieve. Bio
I was born and raised in Minnesota where I was surrounded by nature and the outdoors. Growing up hunting and fishing in the Minnesota wilderness, it was the inspiration for me at a young age to paint. I finished my first oil painting at 7 years old. It was a bedded down white-tail buck. Being a self-taught artist, I remember going to art galleries when I was young and being inspired by wildlife art. When I wasn’t painting, I was in the wilderness. Every time I pick up a paintbrush, I grow. I feel as an artist, you never stop learning.
