The Beacon is a six-story steel monument designed by celebrated public artist JEFRË located in Orlando, Florida. Anchoring the Beacon is a 264-foot-long Code Wall, the outer wall of the Lake Nona Town Center parking structure, adorned with cutout binary code and highlighted by dichroic glass panels reflecting natural sunlight and choreographed lighting instruments. The iconic art installation will be a focal point of the first phase of Lake Nona Town Center, opening this winter 2016. The Beacon, which shape is inspired by the first Stethoscope by Rene Laennec, is a 60-foot sculptural stainless steel enclosure that is wrapped with high-definition video projections, creating artistic and cinematic video artwork that will bring the structure to life each night. Featuring a rotating array of sculptural video concepts, the look and character of the structure – as well as the overall experience at Lake Nona Town Center – will be continually evolving.
