    Archipel is the main Swiss festival totally dedicated to contemporary music. For its 27th edition called Ecce Robo, the relationship between the human and the machine is at the heart of the festival. WePlayDesign has developed an algorithm to create a multitude of different and unique posters, all in a series of 500 specimens. The interest of this algorithm is the fortuitous dimension of the experiment allowing an endless variation. Chance plays an important, if not the primordial role in the process, which freed the constraint of realization in order to focus on the concept and the process.

    Bio
    WePlayDesign is a Swiss design studio run by Sophie Rubin and Cédric Rossel. Our range of work spans across a whole spectrum; visuals identity, webdesign, posters, fonts, signage, book covers, catalogues, objects and digital strategy. Our approach to design is playful since we believe it is a creative way to solve communication issues. This perspective allows us to create projects that are diverse and to offer novel graphics solutions. The play theme enables us to keep an experimental edge as well as an open mind to creative work.
